NYRA x ORCHID-NET Webinar

On September 17th, we hosted a webinar in collaboration with NYRA, entitled:

“From bench to bedside: Advances in Spermatogonial Stem Cell Transplantation and Career journeys in Reproductive Science”

During this inspiring online event guest speakers Prof. Dr. Kyle Orwig and Dr. Amanda Zielen (both Pittsburgh, U.S.A.) gave a glimpse of their interesting research. Both are experts in the field of reproductive biology.  

In addition, Dr. Emily Delgouffe (Vrije Universiteit Brussels) and Dr. Callista Mulder (Amsterdam UMC), presented the work that is done in NYRA and ORCHID-NET, respectively.

It was very insightful to hear Prof. Dr. Kyle Orwig about the highlights from his impressive career, his mentors,  and his past and current work in fertility preservation using immature testicular tissue. The follow-up presentation of Dr. Amanda Zielen gave a more in-dept insight of their current research advances on retrieving sperm from stored testicular biopsies, and future directions for clinical application.

Their talks were very interesting, and we were honored to welcome both as our guest speakers. The webinar ended with some critical questions from the audience. Thanks to all of you who joined this event!
